Thank you so much for taking an interest in my artwork.

My work is primarily landscapes and florals with an impressionistic flair, done  in acrylic and/or watercolor, on stretched gallery wrapped canvas.

With a degree in Piano Education from Mississippi State University, I have served many years as an ordained minister both in church music ministry and as a Chaplain to the terminally ill. After also enjoying years at home raising my children, I discovered a latent talent for art which I have enjoyed pursuing over the years.

Self-taught, for the most part, I also learned much from my mother, Anne Parker, who was a well-respected artist and art professor. At a young age, she imparted a love and appreciation for beautiful art. In so doing I have come to understand the underlying truth behind my mother's life and her teachings: Surround yourself with beauty, because 'Beauty is Truth.’

I love to paint in a spontaneous, free fashion and see what the canvas decides to be. I usually start with an image that captures something lovely and go from there. It's a spiritual endeavor for me as I seek to glorify the One who created beauty for us to enjoy.

Please contact me if I can help you in any way. I’d love to help you purchase your own unique and original piece of fine art.
